“These are people who makes another album
only when they’ve got something new to say,

Cecilia Österholm and Maria Arnqvist made music to SVT’s acclaimed Astrid Lindgren documentary. It’s a given input, if Astrid Lindgren and her characters personify the old Sweden the duo Siri Karlsson picture the new country. While SD, UKIP and the National Front fuss about what is Swedish, British and French Siri Karlsson have created the most Swedish music right now ... The Lost Colony is a gift from multiculturalism. A multiculturalism prize and should be praised by that.

Siri Karlsson's soundscape is a brew of electroacoustic sounds created by an odd mix of instruments such as key harp, synths, saxophone and voice. Influences from near and far are boiled down to a suggestive universe with tentacles to psychedelia, progressive rock, avant garde, noise and folk music.

Siri Karlsson is a duo consisting of Maria Arnqvist on saxophone, synthesizers and voice, and Cecilia Österholm on keyed fiddles, voice and synthesizer.

Siri Karlsson performs as a duo and with band, depending on venue.
