OUAGA SESSIONS


In May 2016, Siri Karlsson was invited to one of West Africa's most famous jazz festivals, Jazz à Ouaga in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. In the trembling 40°Sub-Saharan heat Siri Karlsson played their Swedish-rooted psychedelic folk with great success. Siri Karlsson, together with producer Jari Haapalainen, invited one of Burkina's greatest artists Solo Dja Kabaco and other musicians to recording sessions. The result is the EP Ouaga Sessions. In early November, Siri Karlsson & Solo Dja Kabaco will tour in Sweden.
